Motivation Monday: Fight the Good Fight of Faith!

Untitled #608

Good Morning,

When most people go through struggles and oppression from others they believe that they have to psychically fight to defeat their enemy. But those who have a relationship with God know that are battles against evil are not with our fists or insults but through faith!  We also know that not everything in our life would be a piece of cake!

For the  past two months me and my family have been fighting a battle. We tried to fight through legal tactics but the law sometimes seems to be in favor of those who are doing wrong! So we decided we would put our trust in God and overcome our opposition the way the Word of God says.

There are many scriptures about how to overcome our struggles in life.  These scriptures remind us that even though we may go through hardship we must hold on to our faith because that is the only way we can overcome and get through it.  The Enemy desires to steal your faith  and to make you weak so you can give in to the issues surrounding you. He knows the key things that build up our faith and enable us to WIN!

One key component to winning is reading and hearing the word of God:
Romans 10:17King James Version (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
At times this problem that I was experiencing made it hard for me to hear and read the word of God. But I realized that the Word was were I got my strength from and was the only why me and family could fight this battle.
Prayer and fasting also increases your faith and your ability to deal with difficult matters:
Mark 9:29King James Version (KJV) And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Do not try to fight your battles on your own strength:

Exodus 14:14King James Version (KJV)The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
During this issue at times I wanted to take matters into my own hands because I got tired of seeing their smugness and disregard for the evil they had done.  But I came to myself and decided to let God fight it for me and my family!
There are also many analogies of what a good fight looks like according to the Bible. These analogies use natural terms to give a spiritual example of how we should behave and fight in our battles.

We should behave as soldiers:

2 Timothy 2:3King James Version (KJV) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Always ready for the battle and armed in such away that no evil can get through you or overcome you! He endures and stands through any test knowing Whom he serves is the one who commands him.
We should be like an athlete:
2 Timothy 2:5King James Version (KJV) And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
We should be prepared (Pray, Fast, Read the Word) and we should obey the rules (Obey God's Word).
We should be like a farmer:

2 Timothy 2:6King James Version (KJV)The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

It may sound crazy but it means to be faithful, do the will of God, and be patient waiting for what God has for you.
I hope this encourages someone who may be going through any test or battle just hold on and keep fighting the good fight of faith!

Keep Calm and Trust God
