Summer is still here but if you are like me you are already thinking of outfits to wear in the fall. If you are not thinking about it, all I have to say is there is nothing wrong with being prepared! There are many ways to get you ready for fall by using the summer items you are already wearing.  This simple and budget friendly look I created can inspire you to think of ways to use your summer dress to create your fall looks.

The sleeveless fit and flare dress above is a good investment because it is not only figure flattering but versatile. Since it is sleeveless you can layer it with a short sleeve cardigan or sheer blouse for summer. But when autumn comes around you can use a longer a sleeve cardigan like the one featured or even a leather jacket. There are so many ways to layer your sleeveless dress just find one that suits you!

Flats can be worn in fall especially if you add tights or leggings to your look. Riding boots or even ankle boots would also look cute with a fit and flare dress.

Stripe items like this canvas bag look good not only with your summer outfits but fall as well.

Most people wear statement  jewelry more in the summer than in the fall. I guess most people feel more bold in summer than fall! But a statement necklace would look good with your autumn looks too. Any statement necklace can  add color or character to your fall wardrobe.

What items are you going to transition from summer to fall?
Do you have a sleeveless dress  you can layer for the fall?

  1. It's funny we are just coming into warmer weather now in Australia, but the rules are the same! It's not quite warm enough for sleeveless dresses so we need to layer them up to keep warm! :)
