Everybody wants somebody to love in there life. I mean we has humans were not meant to be island. We are made to relate and have relationships with others.
But when you are saved, single, and playing the waiting game you may sometimes feel that you are anxious to be coupled up. Especially when you see other people getting married, having kids, and you may desired the same. But you keep waiting and hoping that some day that it will be your turn and special person would come along. But sometimes we have a tendency to focus our fantasy future life instead of our present life.
Sometimes we think everything will be okay once we get married like some version of the game Life. We dream of our sweet fantasy spouse, kids, house, cars, etc. But once we get out of our day dream we come back to the reality that we are not married. That sometimes brings on the fear that we will never get married! That's when we turn the waiting game into some version of Old Maid! Which is a game I really never really liked playing even as a kid.
When we pull that card we start to believe that will end up this miserably person that has no life. People have a fear of being alone for the rest of their lives. When will pull this card out we try to get rid of it. Sometimes this fear causes people to become bitter or even try to settle for someone that is not right for them. All because we resent that fact and believe that our life is coming to end because there is no ring on the left ring finger. Your life is not coming to an end because you do not have that diamond prize.
Your life in Christ only just the beginning if we come to the realization that our life is not determined by our marriage or relationship status. Because that too can change! What we can rely on is God and what He has in store for our life. Whatever our lot in life we can trust that God will lead us in the right direction and whatever direction whether single or married we will still be a winner!
Stay tune next Monday for another single and saved series!
