Modest Monday: How to Transition Floral Dresses

This floral dress is great to wear in warm and colder weather.

I love floral dresses in summer because they are feminine and colorful which is what summer fashion is all about. But I try to figure out how to take my summer clothing and transition it for fall.

Now this dress I wore last week.
I purchased this East Fifth Dress a couple of years ago.

But I mainly wear it in summer time but I realized that this dark floral dress can be worn in fall too!

To transition a dark floral dress you can swap out your sandals for cute ankle boots.
I also wear a blazer with it which I hope in a feature post I can show.

Now for a more colorful dress like the one featured above can be transitioned as well.

And in colder weather exchange the white cardigan for a navy or blue one like this one I got from Forever 21.

I also exchanged my white kitten heels for  Dr. Scholl's navy flats.

  7. It can be tough to transition florals to fall but it's always great to find a way to make pieces versatile. I don't like packing away half my closet for 6 months!
